I’m Soheil Salemi. I was born in a small village called Karmostaj (you might need Google Maps to find it 😊), but I grew up in Dubai, where I completed my studies up to high school. In 2020, I moved to the UK to pursue higher education and started with a foundation course at the University of Brighton International College.
Following the foundation course, I enrolled at the University of Brighton in September 2020 and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in July 2023. During my time there, I worked on various projects and coursework that improved my programming and coding skills. I gained experience in mobile application development, building several apps from scratch, and developed a strong foundation in web development, working on both frontend and backend projects.
I then completed an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Systems at the University of Sussex, graduating with Merit in 2024. My coursework included machine learning, neural networks and evolutionary algorithms. Through projects in forecasting and optimisation, I gained experience preparing data, implementing models and evaluating their results.

Since completing my master’s, I have taken on paid freelance development projects. I also independently developed and published VisionFit AI, an iOS fitness application that uses OpenAI and ExerciseDB to help users identify gym equipment and access exercise guidance.
I now live in London and work as an E-commerce Executive at DCUK. My role involves managing online product listings, updating inventory and coordinating Amazon FBA replenishment.
I’m interested in how AI and software can solve practical problems. I am currently exploring PhD opportunities in computer science and AI to deepen my knowledge and develop my research skills. I also welcome opportunities to collaborate on software and web-development projects.
